Salida Colorado is surrounded by 56 mountains with over 14,000 foot of elevation. This mountain town has the most 14ers in the entire state of Colorado. There are many things to do when you visit the wonderful historic town of Salida. A few things include floating the river, soak in a natural hot spring, drive the multiple scenic passes, walk the shops, drinking at the many breweries around town, and hitting the trails for a hike.

Take a scenic drive to one of the most beautiful continental divides. There is a short hike at the top, and the elevation can make it harder than it actually is.

This historic and artsy downtown is adjacent to Salida. Walk the shops or stop for a bite to eat.

Down the road from Agnes Vaille Falls there is a large parking lot. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any wild life however, worth the quick stop.
