The Grand Rounds Scenic Byway is yet another reason Minneapolis continues to impress.
Minneapolis Park Board dreamed up this series of Parkways in the beginning years of the Minneapolis Park System. They made it come to life starting in the late 1800s. To this day it’s is one of the longest continual urban parkway systems in the United States.
Walk/bike 51 miles of pedestrian trails. Along the route you will see every kind of body of water other than the ocean. 😉 Multiple lakes, Minnehaha Falls, the Stone Arch Bridge, the Mississippi River, and Minnehaha Creek are just a few highlights along this loop.
If you want to do it all in one day we definitely recommends strapping on your helmet and spending some time in the saddle.
If biking is not your thing, that is not a problem. Choose a few of the places along this route and plan your trip via car.
