Most of the places we ate on Kauai were on the north side of the island since we stayed in Princeville.
Wailua Shave Ice is in a food truck community. We saw it passing through town and knew we needed to stop.
JoJo’s Shave Ice has a few locations throughout the island. There are so many flavors to choose from you will have to go there more than once. Also, their proceeds go to the local youth.
Hideaway Pizza Pub is in the town of Princeville. Parking can be tricky, but its well worth the effort. They have beautiful mixed drinks, and their pizza was the best on the island.
Kauai Island Brewery was packed. We got beers and nachos before we went on Capt Andy’s Catamaran Cruise. It was the perfect snack to tie us over before our meal on the boat.
Hanalei Gourmet was our first stop of the trip. There are many pastas sandwiches and salads to choose from. To be honest I can’t remember what we got.
Breakfast at the Princeville Resort was breathtaking. Not only were the views to die for but the buffet was massive and if buffets are not for you they also have a large menu.
Fredricos Hanalei is a quick place to get great mexican food. Our burritos were so filling we should have shared one.
Tahiti Nui and their coconut shrimp for the win! They have live Hawaiian music regularly too.
Northside Grill has an upstairs with an indoor outdoor feel with windows overlooking Hanalei and great sushi.
Scorpacciatta was also in the truck park with Wailua shaved ice. It definately was NOT my favorite pizza. It was lacking toppings and even though it looks good from the picture it didn’t have much flavor.
Calypso and their stuffed french toast was sugary goodness in my mouth.
